Can Cardiologists work at a hospital???

I think u probably should figure out what a cardiologist does before deciding u want to be one, given u have seven to eight years of postgraduate education to go through.

Cardiologists work in both hospitals & clinics. If u want to be a hospitalists (only working in hospitals), u dont need to go thru a cardiology fellowship to do that. You will get plenty of hospital work in ur internship, residency & fellowship anyway.

Cardiologists often can spend lots of time in hospitals if they r subspecialists - especially interventional cards & electrophysiologists.

They do work at hospitals. They work at the hospital where I work. They have clinic, they see the patients who r admitted that need Cardiology Consults, they also see established patients when they r admitted to the hosp. At the begining of ur career, You should try to work with a group. With a group, u will learn. What u learn in school is just the basics. You will learn so much more with hands on & older & experienced Cardiologist to guide u into becoming the best Cardiologist u can become.
